For your students who need may need visual pictures to help identify possible job interest areas, download the Job Interests Picture Inventory. This is an example created by a teacher, and you could certainly adapt it to add other specific jobs as you need. It’s a great template, and a great tool!

The next is called What Do You Prefer picture inventory. This reviews more basic work values, like do they prefer to work inside or outside? Work alone or work with others? This can also be used as a great conversation starter with younger or non-verbal students.

Another new resource is the PHOTO CAREER QUIZ website. This is a free online tool that has students look at pairs of pictures and choose which one appeals to them the most. The results show the individual’s career interest areas. This information can be used to assist the student in searching for the career database available on the website.
Picture Career Interest Inventory is a two-page document for students to choose work preferences connected to six career areas. This is simply another version that may be helpful for some of your students.
