Transition and Autism


Students with autism may require additional transition planning to ensure success after high school.  We will be Autismawarenessposting different links here that may helpful resources as we find them.

The first is from the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence (OCALI), which has several tools on transitions to adult guidelines.

Another excellent resource is from Autism Speaks and is called the Transition Tool Kit.  This is an excellent guide to assist families on the journey from adolescence to adulthood.

Another resource is from education.com and is called Autism Life Skills: 10 Essential Abilities

Life Journey Through Autism:  A Guide for Transition to Adulthood  is by  the  Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and provides another useful resource.
